Value-addition on Agriculture Produce – Training Programme

A training programme on “Value-addition on Agriculture Produce” was organised by State Department of Agriculture (under ATMA scheme) in collaboration with Nammazhvar College of Agriculture and Technology on 19.07.2021.

Mrs. Baby Rhodes, Assistant Professor, Department of Agricultural Engineering, NCAT participated and demonstrated “Mixed Fruit Jam preparation” to the farmers of Kamuthy block in the presence of Joint Director of Agriculture, Ramnad and other officials.

NCAT collaboration with Chennai based Chinmaya Academy

Nammazhvar College of Agriculture and Technology in collaboration with Chennai based Chinmaya Academy of Civil Services has successfully conducted a national level Webinar on 12th day of July, 2021 (Monday) between 10.00 -11.00AM on the topic ” CRACK CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION” through zoom meeting platform with 112 participants (NCAT students).

During this event, the host (Trainers: Mr.Rajasekar and Mr.Sriramadesikan) and co-host(Dr.R.Sureshverma, Assistant Professor, Department of Agricultural Extension, NCAT) explained various aspects of CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION viz., subjects to read, books to study, mark pattern, stages of examination and finally collected students feedback.

Also, NCAT and CACS get into a collaboration to train young aspirants from Nammazhvar College of Agriculture and Technology.

YOUNG INDIA – REACHING UNREACHED

During the fortnight program of Nammazhvar College of Agriculture and Technology
“YOUNG INDIA – REACHING UNREACHED” held on 11th day of July 2021 (Sunday) at 10.00 AM – 12.00 PM with 51 active participants to discuss on various aspects of the topics entitled
1. Farm bill and it’s features- pros and cons.
2. India’s GDP and it’s growth
3. Over-population: Advantages and disadvantages.

Nammazhvar College of Agriculture and Technology provides platform for the students to get aware and gain in-depth knowledge on Nationally and Internationally significant events.

This initiative of NCAT is to mould our students as a best pillars of this nation with an attitude of sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic, republic, justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.

Farmers Training Programme

Farmers training programme was conducted by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Tamil Nadu at kottaimedu village, Kamuthy Taluk.

On behalf of Nammazhvar College of Agriculture and Technology, Dr A.Arun, Assistant Professor, Agronomy participated as a trainer and discussed on “safe handling of plant protection chemicals via online mode. He explained, how to use plant protection chemicals, precautionary measures to be taken and disposing techniques to the farmers.
